Sammy raking in serious bucks

As most of us know Samsung's Galaxy Devices have been a huge hit, so much so that Samsung even decided to release a camera under the name. But what has this meant for the electronics giant? Some serious cash.

Now, when I say some serious cash I mean insane amounts of money, so much money that Samsung even claimed that it was raking in a higher profit than Apple, who has been in the business of making vast amounts of money for quite some time.

Is this reliable information? Well, Samsung does hold something like 50% of the Android smartphone and tablet market, so it is certainly feasible, but let's look at some numbers first.

From last year Samsung's profit has risen a whopping 88%, all the way up to Won.8.tn, approximately 8.27 Billion.

It is important to note that smartphone and tablet sales only represent a small fraction of the amount of money that Samsung is actually making thanks to the amount of memory, processors and TV's, among other electronics, that Sammy produces.  Regardless, well done Samsung, very well done.
