Nokia went downhill after WP8 event
On September 6 2012 8:09 AM
Yesterday after Nokia announced the two phones, the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820, Nokia's investors were disappointed.
The stock price went down 12%, and landed at 1.990€. The investors were expecting more megapixels from the new Nokia. Despite the PureView branding, the Lumia 920 uses a different technology than its predecessor.
The Lumia has an 8MP Carl Zeiss camera, but obviously the market was expecting 20MP or more.
"The PureView branding itself doesn't mean a specific technology, or a combination of them. Rather it means that a combination of software and parts will provide the user good quality photos."
Nokia said.
The new devices will be rolled out to selected market in the last quarter of the year.
