Nikon+Android

The Android OS is growing extremely rapidly, faster than any other mobile OS out today. Not only can Android be found in smartphones, smart watches, tablets and even the Galaxy Camera. However, it appears as if Samsung is not the only company who wants to see Android powered cameras as Nikon has recently signed a patent for Android powered cameras.
The Nikon Coolpix S800c released very recently, and while it does offer the unique experience of having and Android powered smart camera the fact remains that the version of Android that powers the Camera, Android 2.4 Gingerbread, is quite outdated. The camera does, however, pack some nice hardware; a 16 megapixel camera and a 3.5 inch OLED screen all nicely packaged in a sleek plastic body look great, at least on paper.
