Google has now apparently decided to get their voice out on the computer market, and have announced a Chrome OS laptop, made by Acer, that cost just $199.

This piece of tech isn't something you'd use to play games on, but rather a tablet-like device with a keyboard (and larger memory). The computer has a 11.6 inch display, Intel Core CPU, a 320 GB hard-drive, and if that's not enough, Google offers 100GB on Google Drive for you to use.
The battery life is equivalent to those of regular laptops, 3.5 hours, which is stunnigly little for a device with specs like this.
However, it should boot up in 18 seconds, and with it you should be able to watch FullHD YouTube videos. For someone that mostly uses a computer for web browsing, this could be made just for you.
For now, the Chromebook is available only in the US on Google Play, BestBuy.com and select BestBuy stores. In the UK you can get it from Google Play, Amazon UK, PC World and Currys, but should be brought available soon for other countries as well. Sales for the US and UK start today.
