Firefox fights for more users

Firefox is looking to compete with Google’s popular Chrome browser for the Android OS by extending the device compatibility list.
Arm v6 devices make up nearly 60% of all Android devices circulating the world today. Mozilla Foundation announced today that it would be extending the device compatibility to include all Arm v6 devices running Android Froyo 2.2 or higher. Google’s Chrome, on the other hand, has much higher requirements for use: Android Version 4.0, which only makes up about 15% of all Android devices circulating the world, and an Arm v7 device, which means that something like 80% of users just can’t use the browser.

However, it should be noted that this is simply a beta for now and will likely not work on many devices until more bugs are worked out.
As most people know, Mozilla Firefox is one of the fastest web browsers for PC users, rivaled only by Google’s mighty Chrome and a few lesser known Browsers. But that’s for PC, THIS IS ANDROID! Just how do the two web browsers compare? And how do they stand up against the stock ICS browser, which received praise for being the best stock browser provided with Android? Stick around and find out, ladies and gentlemen, as we will upload a comparison video of the three browsers and post a link later tonight.
Regardless of which browser you currently use, head down to the Google play Market and check out Mozilla’s Firefox for Android, you may like what the updated Firefox has to offer.
