Microsoft will bring Office to Android and iOS

Microsoft has decided to expand their area of competition in the Office software to Android and iOS.

Despite Microsoft's claims earlier, when they said they're not working on an Office version for the iPad, it now seems that it wasn't true. Such application is in fact in the works for iOS, as well as Android too.

Android has a ton of choices when it comes to viewing office documents. The free edition of Microsoft's Office application will allow you to read documents, but to edit, you need to purchase a license for Office 365.

Anyhow, the versions for these said platforms will only allow basic editing, since Microsoft has the full version saved for their own Windows and Windows RT devices.

The app should be available early next year.
