LG built Nexus isn't what it seems

This time if you want the latest Google Android edition, the Nexus, it comes from LG. We've seen a lot about the new edition of the Nexus line, and the sights aren't that good.

First we heard that the 4G LTE chip isn't actually working, and there's no way to get it working with just changes in software. An official report by LG goes as follows:
In order to provide the best possible specification for Nexus 4, LG utilised the same powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset as can be found in its 4G LTE product, namely LG Optimus G.
This powerful chipset is only available with a combined processor and modem and cannot be implemented separately.

Also Google and LG have different opinions on the support for USB OTG (On The Go), and Google says it's not supported on the latest Nexus, whereas LG claims it is supported, and is actually mentioned in the user guide.
Reports by users point out that the feature isn't actually supported, but if the MicroUSB port has everything in order, this feature could be brought by a software update.
In addition to these points, the latest Nexus has a really small memory and, surprisingly, no MicroSD card slot. The Nexus 4 is available only in 8 and 16 GB versions, which is a lot less than what other high-end Android devices offer.
This is the first time for LG to manufacture the Google Nexus. The first one was built by HTC, and the second and third by Samsung.
