Google includes Drive to Gmail, 10 GB attachments are a go

If you ever wanted to attach files larger than 25 MB to your emails with Gmail, now that is a reality.

Google has included the Drive cloud-service to Gmail so that you can include attached files up to 10 gigabytes to your emails. Since it's Drive, the file that's attached is always the latest. You can naturally allow editing or just read-only permissions for the file.

This can be done without even separately opening the Drive page, so you don't need to hassle with separate tabs or windows while you just want to compose a new email.

Google has now also made available a new email compose window, which just pops up over your email inbox like the Gtalk windows. (Image text is in Finnish)

Unfortunately the new attachment feature isn't yet available, so we can't provide any more detailed information on the attachments.

The new Drive feature should become available soon.
