Google Glass specs revealed

The futuristic invention from Google has been on the lips of many people for some time now, and Google has finally released the official specs for their smart glasses.

The glasses have a display of 640 x 360 resolution, but Google says it's an equivalent of watching a 25 inch high definition television from 2,5 meters away. The display is, as expected, very small, which compensates for the relatively small resolution.

The glasses have a 5MP camera capable of recording 720p video, and audio for the user is conducted through the user's skull. On the device there are 16 GB of storage, but just 12 GB is left available after what the Glass requires for itself.

Google has also mentioned that the glasses aren't suitable for everyone. They say the glasses might cause eye strain or headache, and people under the age of 13 years shouldn't use the glasses, because they might damage the developing eyesight.

Google Glass supports 802.11b/g/n wifi networks, and is compatible with any Bluetooth device. The glasses will also support GPS and SMS through the app "MyGlass".

Google promises a battery life of one day on normal usage. Recording and watching videos will naturally shorten the battery life.
